I love drawing and painting the figure, even though I don’t consider myself a figurative artist. My interest is not in anatomy or correct proportions. What I love is trying to capture the emotion of the model in front of me. I love the abstract shapes of the body and how it relates to its surroundings. I refer to these as “internal landscapes”.
