These pieces are a real departure from my other work. Instead of starting with a reference, each piece develops as I go. I begin by creating a background of colors and images that pull at my heart strings. Then using a combination of paints, colored pencils, collage and other various materials, a story starts to come alive and reveal itself. This work is so magical, fun and surprising that even I can’t believe that I’ve done them!
